- Invert the filled tube upside-down and return it to an upright position. Repeat this inversion according to the additive’s specific requirements.
- Insert subsequent tubes into the holder, puncturing the diaphragm to continue the draw process. Follow the recommended order of draw.
- Once blood flow stops in the final tube, remove it from the holder and carefully withdraw the needle from the vein. Apply pressure to the puncture site with a sterile swab until bleeding stops.
- Dispose of needles in designated sharps containers, adhering to relevant policies and guidelines.
