For scenarios where the surgeon needs to manually return the knife and/or release the anvil, follow these steps:
1. Ensure the firing trigger is fully open.
2. Move the red knife reverse switch fully down until the knife direction arrow points in the reverse direction (toward the user).
Note: The red knife reverse switch will not engage unless Step 1 is completed.
3. Fire one stroke fully from plastic to plastic with the firing trigger to return the knife to the home position.
Note: Confirm this position using the stroke count indicator (at “O”).
4. Ensure the firing trigger is fully open.
5. Press the anvil release button and open the jaws of the device.
